University 2nd year brief – To take a folding electric bike concept and build for manufacture in CAD, in this case using Solidworks.
The bike concept is the BMW i pedelec electric bike.
The frame was optimized to retain strength but to be lightweight.
Use of Solidworks basic FMA simulation on rough framework with 3mm aluminium thickness to highlight weak points.
The project was transferred into 3DS Max in order to be animated for another module.
